The GolfDay Admin’s 2026 Order of Merit remains very much alive following its opening exchanges, with Dave emerging as the first leader of this hotly contested position-points race. The Order of Merit, a defining individual campaign, sees players accumulate points across a series of club qualifiers, with eyes drawn to the season’s primary winner’s purse: The Champ! title and its $11.55 prize.

How the championship moved

The Order of Merit race

The season’s first significant round—‘Pre-Trip’, played on 18 April—brought together some of the club’s most familiar contenders. Gal seized the top step with a sparkling 32 Stableford points, earning a lucrative 21 championship points and a rapid climb into contention. Hot on Gal’s heels, Con (James) and Turkaminator (Yunus) both signed for a share of second, each credited with 17 points under the equal place policy, while Shiraz (Lou) and Ace (Glenn) completed the opening event’s points allocation with 13 and 12, respectively. Notably, Dave—seventh on the day—still collected a solid 10 points, courtesy of the eligible position points structure, taking his total appearances to two and granting him the outright championship lead. The points structure ensures that consistent participation pays dividends early, as demonstrated by Dave’s combined showing.
