Golf Story
Navigating Knebworth's Trials: Rick's Unwavering Spirit in Their Maiden Round
Rick stepped onto Knebworth's fairways for their debut round in the 2026 edition of Rick's Retirement Swingers. The numbers tell a story of endurance: 14 holes featuring double bogeys or worse remind us that golf can be as humbling as it is thrilling. Yet, with an 18-hole Stableford tally of 25 and a gross score of 111, Rick demonstrated that perseverance on a demanding course holds its own quiet satisfaction. Finishing 11th in their first recorded competitive appearance, Rick shows the spirit of a golfer ready to embrace the game's challenges with a grin and a steady swing.
Rick’s golfing tale is just beginning, but with steely resolve and a no-nonsense approach to the game, the fairways ahead look promising. Every seasoned golfer remembers their first tough round; for Rick, Knebworth will be a chapter of learning and laughably brave tenacity.
