The story of the title

Drew takes the title

Hole 13 at Chalgrave Manor asked more questions than a pub quiz: Uphill, illusory yardage, and a bunker eager to rehome any tricked tee shots. Drew simply aimed right and swung purposefully, stopping a mere 10 feet away and leaving competitors wondering if they’d been duped by the green’s leftward slope. Only the sand missed out on a visit, and Drew’s golf ball enjoyed the best view in the house.

The hole behind the challenge

Hole 13: Hole 13

The Precision Hole

A long uphill par‑3 where elevation demands more club than yardage suggests. The deceptive front bunker tricks the eye and makes the hole appear shorter. The green slopes right to left—aim to the right‑hand side for better positioning.

If you miss, you’ll face a tough up‑and‑down from the rear valley. Precision is essential. Also contested hereHole 9Longest Drive. The longest hole on the course and a monster test of power and placement. The second shot is key: stay left to open the angle, or go right and you face a sideways, sloping lie into a green surrounded by trees. On a good line—down the left—you can still be left with a demanding third and a tight, precise green entry.
